1. Who we are and how to reach us.
Bridge Unlocked is a bridge teaching service: lessons, practice, play, the Daily Deal and the quiz. Bridge Unlocked is a trading name of NJM Marketing Ltd, a private company limited by shares, registered with the Companies Registration Office, Ireland, company number 778104. Business address: 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin, D02 XE80, Ireland. VAT number IE4389673PH. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean NJM Marketing Ltd.
You can reach us through the contact page, by email at hello@bridgeunlocked.com or by post at 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin, D02 XE80, Ireland.
These terms, together with the privacy notice, are the agreement between you and us. If anything here is unclear, ask us and a person will explain it plainly.
2. Accounts.
You sign in with your email address (an emailed link or an optional password, your choice). Your email inbox is your key, so keeping access to it is your responsibility. One account per person: your level, bidding system and progress are one record each, and sharing an account would muddle them.
Bridge Unlocked is for adults, with or without an account. You need to be 18 or over to hold an account, and by creating one you confirm that you are. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.
Without an account. You can try part of Bridge Unlocked without an account; the pricing page lists what. Your progress then stays in your browser, so we cannot restore it if it is lost: create a free account to keep it. Clauses 8 and 9 apply to everyone who uses Bridge Unlocked, with or without an account, and clause 7’s promise about your learning record applies once your progress is in an account.
3. Free plan and subscriptions.
The free plan is real and stays free; exactly what it includes may evolve, and the current inclusions are always listed on the pricing page. Bridge Unlocked Plus is billed monthly or annually through Stripe, our payment provider. Prices are shown at checkout and include VAT. Subscriptions renew on the same terms, and you can cancel any time in your account page, effective at the end of the period you have paid for. This is separate from your right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days for a full refund (clause 13).
While a subscription stays active its price never rises: renewals are at the price you signed up at, and we email you 14 days before any annual renewal with the exact amount, the date and a cancel link.
During our free launch period, and any other free period we declare, paid plans are switched off and every feature, the subscriber handouts included, is open to every account without charge: nothing is sold and no card is asked for. We tell you, in the app and by email, before the launch period ends. When paid plans switch on, the progress you made during that period stays saved, and the free plan’s inclusions apply from that day, unless you hold complimentary access.
We may give some accounts complimentary access to Plus, for example to thank people who helped us test Bridge Unlocked. It is free and needs no card, it belongs to that account only and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and it lasts for as long as the account stays open and we offer Plus, unless we end it with reasonable notice or because these terms have been broken.
4. Free trials.
Sometimes we offer a free trial of Plus. Before you start a trial that asks for your card, we show you how long it lasts, the price it turns into and the date that price would first be charged.
- If a trial asks for your card details, nothing is charged during the trial. When it ends it becomes a paid Plus subscription at the price shown when you started, and your card is charged then, unless you cancel before the trial ends. We email you two days before it ends with the exact amount and the date. If you cancel during the trial you are not charged, and you keep Plus until the trial ends.
- If a trial does not ask for card details, it simply ends and you return to the free plan. Nothing is ever charged.
- There is one free trial per account, and only for an account that has not had a subscription before.
Everything you do during a trial stays saved, whichever way it ends.
5. How the contract is made.
To subscribe, you choose a plan on the pricing page or in the app, sign in or create your account, and go to the secure payment page run by Stripe, our payment provider. There you see the plan, the price and when it renews, enter your payment details and confirm your order. The contract is made when you confirm, and we send you a confirmation email straight away.
Until you confirm, you can check and correct anything you have entered on the payment page, or go back and choose a different plan.
We keep a record of your contract, including the version of these terms in force when you created your account. You can see your plan, its price and its renewal date at any time under Plan and billing in your account, and the confirmation email is your own copy. These terms are always on this page.
The contract and these terms are in English only.
6. Refunds.
Changed your mind? Ask within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund, no questions asked (clause 13 explains how). After that, please get in touch. Your statutory rights are untouched. Beyond them, refunds are at our discretion, and we lean towards the customer: contact us, we are reasonable.
7. Your progress.
Your learning record is never deleted for commercial reasons. Stop paying and everything you did stays saved on the free plan. You can download a copy of your data as a file from your account page (the privacy notice lists what it holds), and you can delete your account there too; deletion is real and permanent.
8. Fair use.
Bridge Unlocked is for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not scrape the service, extract content in bulk or by automated means, resell or republish anything from it, or use the content to build or deliver derivative teaching materials. You may not attempt to reach other users’ data.
9. Our content.
Copyright in all lessons, hands, deals, quiz content and handouts belongs to NJM Marketing Ltd. Your licence is personal, non-transferable and for your own learning; it does not permit reproduction, republication or teaching use.
10. Service changes and availability.
We aim high, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. If we ever remove a material feature from a paid plan, you get a pro-rata remedy for the unused part of what you paid.
11. What the law guarantees you.
By law the service must be as described, fit for its purpose and of the quality you can reasonably expect. If it is not, you are entitled to have it put right. If we cannot put it right within a reasonable time, or without significant inconvenience to you, you are entitled to a price reduction or to end the contract. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.
12. Liability.
Our liability to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes anything the law forbids excluding.
13. Your right to cancel.
If you start a new Plus subscription, you have the right to cancel it within 14 days without giving any reason. The 14 days run from the day the contract is made: the day you subscribe, or the day you start a free trial that later turns into a paid plan. This right comes from the Consumer Rights Act 2022. If you live in the UK, you have the same 14 days under UK law.
To cancel, tell us of your decision by a clear statement before the 14 days are up.
The easiest way is online: use the Cancel contract here link at the foot of every page of this website, and in Settings and at the foot of every page of your account in the app, including Plan and billing. Fill in the short form and press "Confirm cancellation". We will then send you an acknowledgement of receipt of the cancellation by email, including its content and the date and time of its submission, without undue delay.
You can also tell us by email at hello@bridgeunlocked.com or by post at 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin, D02 XE80, Ireland. You may use the model cancellation form below, but you do not have to. To meet the deadline, it is enough to send your message before the 14 days are up.
If you cancel, we refund everything you paid for the subscription without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day you tell us. We refund to the payment method you used, and you pay no fee for the refund. We do not charge for the days you used before cancelling.

14. Termination for breach.
Accounts that breach clauses 8 or 9 (scraping, bulk extraction, republication, or commercial or teaching reuse of the content) may be suspended or closed. Where the breach looks honest, we warn first. Statutory consumer rights, the refund policy above and clause 7’s progress promise are untouched for everyone else.
15. Complaints.
If something has gone wrong, tell us through the contact page, by email or by post (the details are in clause 1) and a person will reply.
16. Governing law and courts.
Irish law governs these terms. If you live in the EU or the UK you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live or in the Irish courts. If we ever need to bring a claim against you, we will do so in the courts where you live.
